Job Description:



Ultimately, our Chamber Development Officer and PA should ensure efficient and smooth day-to-day operations for the Chamber team.



Responsibilities




  • Answer and direct phone calls and take messages

  • Organise and schedule appointments for the CEO and COO

  • Undertake Export documentation (training provided)

  • Plan meetings and take detailed minutes

  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms

  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports

  • Maintain filing system and intranet

  • Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers

  • Maintain contact lists and update CRM (Chambermaster)

  • Book travel arrangements

  • Submit and reconcile expense reports

  • Meet and greet visitors

  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients

  • Handle requests and queries from senior managers



Requirements




  • Working knowledge of office equipment

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, in particular)

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task

  • Experience in an office environment would be a plus



This role is subject to a six-month probation period. The position is permanent and full time.



Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday including an unpaid 1-hour lunch break. Should working time outside these hours be required time off in lieu will be available.



The main place of work will be at the Chamber Offices on the Cardrew Industrial Estate in Redruth. Travel at the Chamber's expense may be required on an occasional basis.



The starting salary will meet the National Minimum/Living Wage.
